For Ocean Park specific events, see Chautauqua-by-the-Sea: 207-934-9068 or click here FMI.

Regularly Scheduled Events through Labor Day include:
  • Fireworks at Old Orchard Beach every Thursday evening beginning late June thru late August.
  • Memorial Flag Raising at Veterans Memorial Park every evening at 6:00 pm Memorial Day through Labor Day. Click here FMI. Each summer evening, from Memorial Day through Labor Day (plus 9-11, Veterans Day and Pearl Harbor Day), dedicated volunteers gather in Veterans Memorial Park in Old Orchard Beach for an open air raising of the U.S. flag in honor of a deceased veteran. The short (15-20 minute) ceremony begins at 6:00 p.m. and includes a musical and spoken word tribute. Ceremony volunteers, local residents and vacationing tourists pause at this time to recognize a veteran, many with ties to Maine. Pick any summer evening to head over to Memorial Park and join others in honoring American veterans. FMI, visit the group's Facebook page. Want to recognize a deceased family member or friend who served in the U.S. Armed Forces? Call 207-468-0443 or send an e-mail to learn how you can honor your loved one at the Memorial Flag Raising ceremony in 2016.
